Top Ten Tuesday: Books At The Top Of My Summer TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme at The Broke and The Bookish and this week they’re asking for Top Ten Books At The Top Of My Summer TBR List

My summer reading list is kinda… all the same. When I start reading a series, I’ll only read that series, from start to finish til I’m done with all the books. I’ve just started reading the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter books by Laurell K Hamilton. I’m about 1/3 of the way through book #3 Circus Of The Damned.
My main aim for reading this summer is to finish the rest of the series. It might take me a while because there’s a LOT of them – book #22 is due out this summer.

The series is narrated in the first person by Anita Blake, who works in St. Louis, Missouri, as a professional zombie raiser, vampire executioner and supernatural consultant for the police. It takes place in a parallel universe where supernatural creatures and powers are real and their presence is considered to be public knowledge. The supernatural beings are considered to be citizens with most of the rights of regular humans, which is sometimes the focus of some of the strife in the series.

  1. That’s a kind of dedication I don’t have! Unless it’s a short series, like a trilogy. Hope you enjoy them–Anita’s life gets more and more complicated with each book.

    • I do it that way because if I don’t read the books one after another, I get distracted by all the other books and never end up finishing the series, and forget I was reading it. My mum used to do it that way too so maybe it’s a habit I picked up from her
